Abstract

This research focuses on the topic, “The Importance of the Balance of Power in the Prophetic Era: A Review,” which aims to analyze the strategies, principles, and practical implementation of the balance of power in the early period of the Islamic State of Madinah. The Prophetic Era Ahad-e-Nabawi ﷺ is that ideal period where power was used not merely for domination or coercion, but for justice, peace, and collective welfare. Internally, social justice, the rights of minorities, and legal equality were promoted, while externally, the use of force was governed by the principles of wisdom, peace treaties, and defense. The main objective of this study is to understand the means and principles through which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ utilized power in a balanced manner, and how this balance helped establish internal and external peace. A key research question is: What were the limits and constraints placed on the use of power so that it would not become a source of oppression, corruption, or tyranny? The nature of the research is qualitative and it is based entirely on secondary sources. In this regard, authentic books and articles based on the Prophetic biography Seerah, historical traditions, $\text{Hadith}$, and Islamic political science will be reviewed. Furthermore, the $\text{Treaty of Madinah}$, the $\text{Treaty of Hudaibiyah}$, various military expeditions Ghazawat, and diplomatic strategies will be used as case studies to practically understand the principles of the balance of power. The balance of power in the Prophetic Era ﷺ was an integrated, religious, and ethical concept that not only stabilized the state but also helped introduce Islamic values on a global level. In today's political and social context, these principles provide ideal guidance for a sustainable and just system of governance.
